RETIREMENT DISTRIBUTION STRATEGIES

A successful distribution strategy requires a disciplined approach that provides an income stream to support and maintain our current style of living, now and in the future, and offers potential for capital appreciation in an attempt to keep pace with rising inflation and healthcare costs.  We accomplish this by implementing the following:

Dividend Income Portfolio

  • While dividends are not guaranteed, the objective is to generate dividend income in all market cycles without liquidating principal appreciation in equity securities for capital appreciation by investing in variable annuities.

Insurance Income Portfolio

  • The objective is to achieve a protected income stream from market volatility and negative effects of inflation, while providing exposure to equity securities for capital appreciation by investing in variable annuities.

Tax Effected

  • Municipal Bond Portfolio:
  • The objective is to achieve income from the interest paid on municipal bonds that is exempt from federal income taxes and where applicable state income taxes.  Please note that some bonds may also be subject to Alternative Minimum Tax. (AMT)
  • Taxable Fixed Income Portfolio:
  • The objective is to achieve income and preservation of capital by investing in investment grade taxable municipal bonds, corporate bonds, zero coupon bonds, government agencies, certificate of deposits, commercial paper, and US Treasury Securities.

Capital Appreciation

  • Tactical Asset Management Portfolio:
  • The objective is to provide a total return strategy that reduces and manages risk to generate above average capital appreciation through diversification among multiple investment classes.  It is important to note, however, that diversification does not assure a profit or protect against losses.
  • Managed Account Solutions Portfolio:
  • The objective is to provide a customized investment portfolio with access to leading money managers whose expertise is typically reserved for the largest institutions and hedge funds.
